Hi Year 3!

Reading

Click on the link below to take part in an online lesson about reading for pleasure. The teacher will talk through what a reading river is and help you to create your own!

To develop reading for pleasure through personal reflection (thenational.academy)

Instead of doing this, you may choose to read some of your reading book. If you do this, make sure you sign your diary so we know which page you have got up to!

English

Yesterday in English we were introduced to our new text. We explored the features of a newspaper article and searched for them in our article about Howard Carter finding Tutankhamun’s tomb. Today we would like you to focus on how we could include quotes in a newspaper article. Click on the link below to take part on an online lesson which will help you to learn about and practise punctuating speech.

Maths

This is the last lesson in our multiplication and division topic. This lesson is called ‘how many ways’. You can watch the video for the lesson on the link below. If you have access to a printer, the worksheet is on link below.

History

Today’s history lesson is based on Ancient Egyptian gods! I have found this online lesson which gives you lots of information, quizzes and activities linked to the Egyptian gods. Click the link below to have a go!

Remember, you can always go on TTrockstars to practise your times table skills and build points for your class!

There is maths homework set on Sumdog which you can have a go at if you haven’t already.

Good luck! We look forward to hearing all about your learning when we are back together in school!
