Choosing the right primary school is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make for your child. While Early Years provision is a huge part of that step, you aren't just selecting a Reception class, you’re choosing a school family for the next seven years.

What to Expect on Your Tour 

Our prospective parent tours are designed to give you a genuine, behind the scenes look at everyday life at Sandy Lane. During your visit, you will:

• See Reception Classes and our EYFS provision in action

• Take a full school tour (because knowing the environment your child will grow into over the years matters just as much as where they start)

• Get a clear picture of what Sandy Lane stands for, how we support our children, and what our school community is all about.

Who You’ll Meet 

We want you to have every opportunity to ask questions and get to know the people who will be caring for your child. Most of our tours are led directly by our Headteacher, Ms Parkhouse, who loves welcoming new families personally. If she isn't able to lead a session, it is simply because our children and families always come first and she is needed with them, in which case another member of our Senior Leadership Team will step in and will be there for you.

You will also be joined on the tour by our Family Support Worker, Mrs Hurley and as we explore the school, you’ll meet many members of our teaching and support team, including our Reception Class Teachers - Mrs Whitehead and Miss Garner, when we visit their classrooms.
